Things "M" Says:

After reading this post you will now realize why I take so many pictures of "M" while he sleeps.

Don't you just want to kiss on those fat lips....swoon???

Okay, getting off track......

"M" is just about 3 1/2 and the things that come out of this boys mouth, well to say we never have a dull moment with him around is an understatement. Here let me share a few...

  1. "The poop in my pants is hurting my ears."
  2. He came up to me with baby nail clippers in hand ( don't ask) and says " do you want me to give you a hair cut so you can look like Princess Peach?"
  3. " You'll never get me sucka!" ( this is my least favorite and he got busted when he used this phrase).
  4. "I want a Tiny chocolately poopie!!" (For those who are not down with "M" talk that would be a hersey kiss!)
  5. Convo between the two little ones: "J": If you want something done right you have to do it yourself ( repeat this a dozen times and say it in a song like way). "M": STOP SAYING THAT! Mama do it!

In all reality this list really has no end, stay tuned for more things that come out of "M"s mouth. This could be a weekly meme here on this blog!

I aged 20 years today....

I have been a mommy for almost 9 years now ( 9-1-2001) and today we had a first.

Baby M climbed on the top bunk ( which he is not suppose to do. @@) to get a lego piece off his brother's bed and on his way down he slipped off the ladder and hit his mouth, with his teeth going through his tongue!

Baby M comes running into the living room where King Baboon and I were sitting and we see all this blood coming from his mouth. I remained calm because I know even the smallest wound in the mouth is going to bleed a lot. I pick him up and take him to the kitchen to clean him up so I could see what was wrong with his mouth, never expected to see this.....
Okay, out goes the calm cool collective mama and in enters the crazy my baby is really hurt mama. King Baboon calls the doctors and he was told to take baby M into Urgent Care. I pack up a bag for them to take with some toys to keep M content and an ice pack.

They get to Urgent Care and they are seen pretty quick with the nurse. By than the bleeding had stopped and she informed King Baboon that chances were good he was going to need stitches and if this was the case he would have to go to the local hospital to be sedated before they could stitch him up.

WHAT?!?!?!? Sedate my baby!! Stitches are bad, you add in the fact that you want to knock my sweet little man out, and I go rambo on you!

Doctor came in and he had another doctor come in for his opinion. One thought he needed stitches the other did not! Dudes, get it together! They decided to call an ENT for their suggestion. An hour later they still had not heard back from the ENT on call, so they send them home with directions on how to clean wound and an antibotic.

Hours later we finally get a phone call, no stitches needed, but we need to make sure to clean his wound after everything he eats ( he is not a fan of this at all). Tomorrow will be worse from him so we need to keep him on Tylenol for the next two days.

It has not been my sweet babies week. He is already on 3 medications for a cold that has moved into his lungs, now this!

So tonighht when I lay my head down on my pillow it will be with a few more gray hairs!

A Whole New Disneyland

There are moments in life where Disneyland becomes a brand new theme park to you.

Of course the first of these moments would be, duh... your first time at the park. For my kids they head to Disneyland shortly after entering the world. We are a family of addicts when it comes to our beloved Disneyland.

Your next "A Whole New Disneyland Moment: would be when you reach the milestone of being 35 inches tall. What does 35 inches mean in the world of Disneyland....

The start of being able to go on big boy ( or girl) rides! All of my dudes loved when they were finally tall enough to get on the Big White Mountain, A.K.A. Matterhorn.

Well, last night a certain sweet, adorable, rough little 3 year old reached a new "whole new Disneyland" moment.
( Doesn't he looked thrilled? He really was, but he just woke up.)

40 inches baby!!!!

What does the height of 40 inches bring you at Disneyland???

Last night he got to go on Big Thunder for the first time.
His response when asked what he thought of said ride....
" that's was da coolest mommy!"

When we head back tomorrow he will go on Space Mountain. Star Tours is closed and I am not a fan of the long line for Splash Mountain. Even "J" has not gone on this ride yet.... mean mama!

Tell me, what are some 'Whole New Disneyland" moments for you? Or any theme park?

Aloha Friday #23: Love-e

I think this is the first Friday in a long time that I am excited about!!! King Baboon and I are putting the monkey's to bed early to watch a movie and have a bottle ( or two) of wine. I know it might not be the most glamous date night, but I will take it, and I am looking forward to it. To see what movie we are going to watch, click here.

Aloha Friday's asks you to ask your readers a simple question, nothing that makes them think to much, after all it's Friday, time to hang loose!

Today's question is:

Did or do your kids have a love-e? What is it?
If you don't have kids, did you have a love-e when you were growing up?

My oldest, D, never really got attached to an object, he was very attached to me, especially with Jim being deployed the better part of his baby stage. 'J' has a blankie that has seen better days, and even right out of the wash it looks dirty! Baby M just got one for his birthday, which was only last weekend, but he has not let this thing go....
We took him to Toysrus on his special day at let him pick out anything he wanted, and this is all he wanted... he would look at other toys but never dropped this dog to pick something new. It is a shining star plush animal. You get to name a star after you if you buy one of the animals. This dog has gone every where in the short week it has been apart of our family. Church, school, grocery store, park, meals and of course bed time. I have drawn the line at letting the thing in the tub with him.

I hope you all have an awesome Friday and weekend!
Aloha!!!

Don't forget to head over to AN ISLAND LIFE for more Aloha Friday Fun!

P.S. Don't forget to enter my awesome giveaway for a pair of See Kai Run shoes for your little ones... enter here!

Baby M is 2.. two...TWO!!

Two years ago today I walked into my weekly appointment to find out that I was walking around town 5 1/2 cm dilated. I was told not to go anywhere for the rest of the day, and to head on in to the hospital later on that night to have me a brand new baby boy.

I arrived at the hospital less than 3 hours later and was 6 1/2. Walked the halls for about an hour and was only a 7. By than I was tired and wanted to watch American Idol so I got into bed. Was checked about an hour later, no change, so I moved to my side... 10 minutes later King Baboon was running down the hallway to find the doctor, I was ready to go!

People always hate me when I say I have no problem with the labor part of pregnancy, it has always been very quick and easy for me, it's the 9 months leading up to that moment I hate!

Anyways.....

Happy Birthday to my sweet baby M. Your laugh lights up the room, your smile melts me heart, and when I look into your eyes I see a better world!

My little Jim Jr.

Mama will always be by your side

and I will catch you when you fall, hug you when you are hurt, and will leave lipstick marks on your face and pray you won't rub them off to fast!

You are a joy, perfect grand finale!
Happy birthday!
